David Hockney (1966) - British Council version extract

Featuring the creations of the Cavafy Suite

Filmmaker James Scott made this study of the British artist David Hockney at work in April 1966, when Hockney began a series of etchings based on love poems by the Greek/Alexandrian C.P. Cavafy. This extract is from a cut of the film made for the British Council; a director's cut under the original title Love's Presentation is available on the BFI DVD Every Picture Tells a Story.
